Dawoon Kim is a South Korean artist based in London, working across photography, installation, performance and video. Kim’s work primarily addresses themes of cultural identities, representation, spectacle and desire with frequent references to pop culture, technology and the internet-era. By blurring the limits between authenticity and commodification, fiction and reality in a humourously dark manner, she attempts to reveal the underlying absurdities of contemporary society.
